In the early 1920s a very ambitious young boy from Mhisal village located at Maharastra Karnataka border came to Ichalkaranji, Maharastra which is situated at the banks of Panchganga River. Ichalkaranji was developing as a textile hub at that time. Ichalkaranji is now known as Manchester of India.

That boy started working as a helper in a local grocery shop. After some time he heard that one British company is looking for a local person who can help them to market their products in Ichalkaranji and surrounding area. At that time local textile manufacturers were mostly illiterate and not aware of development in the textile process. He started working with that company ICI India Ltd as local help who later on appointed him as local stockist for their textile division. ICI had a very large range for the textile industry. As local manufacturers were not aware of new technology he had to educate them to use ICI’s products. That time the road network was very poor and sometimes he had to deliver goods on his head as there were no roads. Appreciating his hard work and dedication ICI India later appointed him as distributor for their entire range from textiles, fibers, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, explosives and many more. That boy is our founder Late Honorable Mr.Marutrao Ramchandrarao Jadhav who was known as M R Jadhav. He expanded his business in Maharastra and Karnataka state and became one of the top businessmen in the region.

After the early demise of Mr. M R Jadhav at age of 46, his elder son Mr.Ramesh Jadhav took over the business at the age of 17. He then grew the business multiple times with the help of his 2 brothers Mr. Suresh and Mr.Satish. Mr.Ramesh’s sons later joined the business and diversified business in many fields.

Mr.Nilesh Jadhav grandson of M R Jadhav and son of Mr.Ramesh who’s immense love towards nature and environment started TEJ INDIA where we are committed to manufacture eco friendly cost effective shopping bags which can replace plastic bags which are damaging the environment tremendously.

After years of R & D we have launched Eco friendly and environment friendly products. A part of this is started by manufacturing woven fabric bags. We have a large range in various sizes and shapes. We can also manufacture custom made bags as per your specifications. We can supply bags in printed and non printed form. Presently we are marketing our products Pan India.
